    Things I learned today:
    • I can no longer draw straight lines
    • I have a ridiculous number of inked pens, none of which combine a waterproof black ink and F (or finer) nib
    • There is possibly one conceivable use for those cartridges of highlighter ink I found at the back of the drawer
    • and that this was another prompt that did very little for me - though I'm hugely impressed at the other contributions!

    How about one spirited car?

Even the famous 007 drove one back in the 70s.

I am not crazy about any of these prompts, but I do like to sketch with you all, very much.

So I just have fun with them.

#6 The Fool - colour. Something needs doing with those rocks, not quite sure what yet.
(I decided waiting until the morning to photograph like I did last year is a better idea!)

Thanks a lot penwash, I´m sure this day will come sooner than later.
And I´m really proud of him.
But isn´t that what we all wish for our children, that they become better than we are?

Thanks christof I always enjoy you simplistic inputs, they are inspirational.

    Awesome Voiren.
I also try to avoid whenever possible to take a photw with artificial light.
And outside I prefer direct sunlight when taking my photos (but the last days were really cloudy and dark here).

    Junior is doing great!

#7 The Magician - main inking. There'll be a lot more tree ink, but that's mostly it.
(If you recognise the lettering style, these are all to drop in to the DruidCraft deck - some cards NSFW if you go looking).
I also worked out what to do with The Fool - add daisies!

    Another day of many learnings!

I did this one first, and discovered that having got so used to single colour sketches, I no longer like any of my black inks or nibs for outlining. I either need to just go back to a dip pen and indian ink or find a new combination. Possibly something with a finer nib that can take a pigment ink. inktober07a.jpg
Platinum Prefounte with PR Invincible Black / Kyo no oto Urahairo / MB Swan Illusion for washes.

However, after seeing Will's fabulous fan on the same theme, I thought I should do something involving a bit more effort, so did this one. I used a slightly textured paper, which has held the wash much better, and given an interesting quality to the outlines as well, but the outline colour is very different to how it normally looks, which was curious.
    inktober07b.jpg
Pelikan 100N with Montblanc Kipling / Robert Oster Australis Tea for wash.
