    25. Splat
    @christof I promise I didn't copy your splat. I did this one in September from the original Mystery Ink sample #36 sent to me by junglejim and subsequently withdrawn as MI#36 due to SITB. As my sample seems fine and I was only using it with a brush I decided to use it here. Thankyou junglejim.
    For Information it is Monteverde Emotions Wisdom.

    Splat! or Attack of the Jello Monster from Outer Space.
    Perhaps the scene preceding the one in the summary drawing.

    According to Oxford dictionary:
    A splat:
    a piece of thin wood in the center of a chair back.

    The other one is obvious:

    Sometimes a sketch prompt is quite irritating in that it funnels you into a specific idea.
    So I decided that I'll learn something I didn't know before ...

    Looks like @Yazeh spotted the same definition...

    Some call the Montblanc star logo a splat. Must admit I never like to see it called that.
    Google Dictionary mentions it as a noun: a sound of something soft and wet or heavy striking a surface. e.g. "the goblin makes a huge splat as he hits the ground"
    or as a verb: crush or squash with a splat. e.g. "he was splatting a bug"
    land or be squashed with a splat. e.g "the cuckoo will roll out the eggs and watch them splat on the ground"
    No-one seems to mention it as an ink splat.....

    Ironic isn't it? I was not familiar with the salt or ink splat. After checking my trusted Oxford dictionary, my first idea was a squashed mosquito peaking out of a flyswatter, on chair splat but that was beyond my sketching abilities, and more like Ptero's style. So I google-imaged splat and all I got were ink splats, to my surprise. So I went with it...

    To be honest, drawing these hands pushed me out of my comfort zone, and it was quite hard to draw them.
    Still they do not look really right to me, I guess I have to practice my skill to draw hands.
    But inktober is also about going out of the own comfort zone.

    I love your penguins, awesome 👏
    Your leak is so funny.
    You explained clearly what happened with the dinosaurs in 3 pictures, well done.
    Love also the summary 17-24, really funny, also your splat and connect.

    @usk and little usk
    Really good, both of you.
    The bear is really good.
    I especially like the colored fuzzy, collide, compass and helmet.

    @mizgeorge
    Great hand.
    Not really extinct, as you still have some reserves . Well done
    Thanks for your kind words, he got 12 in September.
    He is still coughing and has fever, but itˋs getting better.
    The bad thing is that this week are autumn holidays in school and he has to stay inside.
    We planned some activities, but this will not happen.

    @voiren
    Your drawings are extraordinary, love them.

    @penwash
    Great inputs, and always combined with a interesting pen.
    Thanks penwash, yes we will finish what we started.
    I really like how Inktober developed on FPGeeks and how good the participation is this year.

    @junglejim
    Thanks a lot.

    @yazeh
    Cool leaking idea
    I have not doubt that he will outperform me soon.
    Some of his pictures of this Inktober already have more views than mine on DeviantArt.
    Thanks for your kind words, he really want to finish Inktober this year (in opposite to last year).
    Cool connect drawing.
    Thanks for the splat definition, learned again something.

    @christof
    Always on the point, great extinct
