I couldn't decide which one I liked better. So I posted both....

Today's prompt pushed me to do another vintage illustration, this time of a certain insect with bioluminescence-ability. If latin names are not your thing, you can call her ... Sparklette (since the other obvious name choice has been taken by @Chrissy's Sparky the Eel, at least here).

Day 28 - Crispy



Nothing much, and there's some show through from an earlier drawing on the other side of the page. But it occurred to me that I was thinking of one of Tenniel's illustrations for Through the Looking Glass. That was a leg of mutton, while this is a chicken leg; the small influence is in a tiny detail which may only be visible to me. But one is always influenced by something.
