Default Mystery Object in Vintage Parker 45 box

I bought a vintage Parker 45 in a color I didn't have. I came with some sort of object in the box. I have no idea what it is. It seems too awkward looking to be a letter opener. Can anyone tell me what it is?

That looks like a coupon cutter. Place the paper between the black and silver parts and push forward to cut.

I tried testing it on a small piece of paper and if it's a coupon cutter it does a terrible job. It just shredded the paper.

Hmm, that's a tough one. What side of the silver part is sharpened?

It doesn't seem that sharp at all.

Wow, I even found a sterling silver one from Tiffany, so I guess it's not a stretch that it would be included in a poem set.

    Parker called it a Clip-it.

I’d not call a 45 quite vintage. There are a couple of other objects in the line as well.
