Is it possible to remove the nib from the main body of Parker 17?
Is it fixed in the factory in the plastic connector, without option to be removed?

It is possible to remove the nib and feed from the 17.
The hood should unscrew, if it is stuck try some gentle heat, I use a hair dryer to soften the shellac.
The nib and feed are best removed as one, take care there is a long tube attached.
The number 4 nib is unique to the 17. The broad #4 nib is exceptionally good as a rule.
What is the issue with your nib may I ask?

I want to keep the nib as spare part for my other P17s. I'll try with hair dryer as usual. P17 are relatively cheap in eBay, but excellent design for me!

Sounds good, i would keep the feed and nib together and use them as a set.
Good luck.

I done the job with hot water - appr. 5 minutes and the nib was removed.
What is unique with the nib #4 ?
I have one item #4 and RU7, and one only #4, written on the nib?
