Since everyone is enjoying the inks and the Thanksgiving (US) holidays are approaching, I will do the Mystery Ink reveal on Tuesday 23 November, if it is okay with the participants. That should give us another 5 days to play with the inks.

    All the Best.

Good afternoon everyone! It is now time for the Mystery Ink reveal. Both Mystery inks started off as samples from a good penfriend in Arvada, Colorado. ( Thanks Sofie! )

Mystery Ink #38 is from the Phillipines and is Vinta Inks Vineyard La Union 1971. A beautiful purple color that Chrissy says is a near match to the unobtanium Caran D'Ache Sunset.

Mystery Ink #39 is from the Franklin-Christoph collection and is called Black Cherry.

I hope you enjoyed this session and we will see you all again in late January 2022 ( The good Lord willing. ) May you have a Joyful and Safe Holiday Season!

    All the Best.

    JJ

How would you compare it to JJ's black cherry? I think my supply of the latter is about depleted.

Thank you for this opportunity and some great inks my ideas were way off, I actually thought 38 might be noodlers since it's so saturated.

Still trying to a kind of painting with what I have left of the inks but haven't had any luck with it turning out where it would be recognizable

    Thanks

Thanks, junglejim. I would never have guessed these! Both are extremely pleasant to write with, as my pen pals are discovering.

...I still see Black Cherry as brown, though....😝

That is the ink I was referring to when I wrote with MI#39 and my sample is depleted. Was it a mixture of 2 PI inks?
