Notice I use a Rhodia 'top spiral bound' pad , this way there's no left or right impediment to get in the way.
The two manky old cushioned pads ( out of an el cheapo pen display case ) at the bottom are to rest my wrist on so that I'm not on the 'spiral' when writing to the bottom of the page.
The board itself is just a shelf out of a small cabinet !

Ps. I've since worked out how to post pics ...lol
Yay to the pics Love the writing.

For what reason do you turn the pad so that the rings go to the bottom on the other side of the page rather than just turning the page and writing down it with the rings at the top again?

Chrissy , well, I write both sides of the paper, and I like it that when I place an old pad in front of me I can open it up and see both pages , up and down, the right way up ...hope that makes sense !?

As a left hander I have never written overhand, Nuns with 2lb Hickory rulers made that a dangerous practice. I figured out early [ 1st Grade] to tilt my tablet in a mirror image (opposite) the way the right handed kids did. This may have been confusing to Sister Mary Sadistina, my first grade teacher. Who knows, she may have been dyslexic and couldn't sort it out. So I have always written with my "tablet" tilted 45* or more with the top to the right, and write underhanded. When we got to start using pen and ink { before the ballpoint was in common use } this solved any smearing problems as well. I also notice that writing this way with fountain pens removed the issue of "pushing the nib" rather than pulling it.
