FS: Sheaffer Statesman FP & MP (Triumph M, Plunger Filler, Brown Forticel, Restored)

For sale is a Sheaffer Statesman fountain pen and pencil set in brown forticel (plastic) with gold trim. The fp has a smooth writing 14k M Triumph nib. Both pen and pencil are in working order and in excellent condition with only typical wear from age and normal use. Light scratches, but no dings, dents or cracks. The band on the pencil has some brassing/plating loss. The fountain pen has a plunger/vacuum filling mechanism and is about 5 inches long capped. The filling mechanism was restored by Gerald Berg in June of 2018. The pen was inked only a couple of times since then. The pencil has a twist mechanism and some spare lead inside. Mr. Berg dated the fp as c. 1949.
