    Default Santini Italia Nonagon

I just received a Santini Nonagon in Midnight finish. It's a spectacular pen. It's the biggest pen I've owned but remains comfortable to use. I don't jive well with the M1000 or MB 149 but the section of the Nonagon is comfortable to use while being larger than the latter two.

The Bold nib is generously wet. Really, for a pen that's less than $600 (I got it with some discount) you get your bang for the buck. It has more ebonite than what you get from other Italian brands that issue ebonite LE models. It has a faceted barrel and cap and comes in a piston filling mechanism.

With how well they made this pen, I'm very happy to see they're releasing new models such as the Giant.

Lovely pen, and I thank you for sharing your impression on it with us.

I am a huge fan of ebonite pens. And this pen looks like a vintage pen, which is always a plus for me.

I love ebonite as well, and this is a beauty. I just got a Narwhal in Ebonite

I'm an ebonite junkie too. Conway Stewart, Eboya (particularly the Kyouka Model), Wahl Eversharp and Leonardo are other good manufacturers that offer ebonite. I only have experience with the modern CS ebonites and the Eboya Kyouka, both of which I adore, but as far as I can tell WE and Leonardo also do a fantastic job. I cannot emphasize how happy I am to see that Leonardo releases chased ebonite on a fairly regular basis.

I've been intrigued by this model once I saw it released. The porthole ink window is a pretty little piece of novelty to me. I wouldn't fault you for toying around with it as if it were a miniature submarine. I know I would ha! Also, that lively color rocks!

I'm quite happy with my ebonite pen collection on the vintage side.

My list of modern ones is short (yes, a Shinryo Kyouka Large is on it), and now the Santini Nonagon is probably going to make that list longer by one.

Beautiful pen. I have a Santini with a #6 flexy nib and I love it. I will have to try one with the #8.

I am really impressed with the design of this pen, it looks very special, I tried to buy it, but couldn't find it.

I’ve struggled to understand the size of this pen. Is it a big pen? What other pens can you use to describe its size in comparison? I have smaller hands and would still want to purchase an ebonite Italian pen

It's interesting that you mention not getting along with the Pelikan M1000 or Montblanc 149, as those are both large wordle game pens as well. However, every individual has different preferences when it comes to pen size and shape, and it sounds like the section of the Nonagon is a good fit for you.

Santini Italia makes lovely pens, and along with everyone else here, I wish you much joy in writing with it. I have a Libra in Sienna, and Katrina was especially helpful in pointing me toward the right nib. Their customer service is exceptional, and their quality outstanding—what more could you ask?
