    Default Black n' Blue

Hello fountain pen fans. I came across this site and forum after looking for other fountain pen communities. This if my first post, so "Hello" to everyone! I just finished this custom pen last weekend wanted to share it here. It is outfitted with a #6 Meister nib (medium) and the blank is my own creation (as is the case with all my custom pens). Questions and comments welcome. There are a few more details at www.maestropen.com. Enjoy!

    Sweeeeet!

Beautiful work - that's a gorgeous pen, and your resin is quite striking!

Out of curiosity - why the brass threading?

Thanks Ken! I'm really happy with the resin, too. The brass is my way of adding a little more durability to the pen. Awhile back I read a post by an IAP member who had a pen given to him that rolled off his table and it broke. Given that everything I make is for sale using the brass was my way of preventing any of my customers fountain pens from reaching the same fate. I think the brass adds a nice touch, too; it adds just enough weight to make it feel durable but not so much that it's uncomfortable. I'm making another one right now that is designed the same way. Thanks again. Looking forward to seeing more of your work, too.

I like it. The material reminds me of the blue/black ebonite swirl stuff used for my Edison LE Herald:

I also like the coloring of that pen. Nice work.
