I've had a pair of bottles from Diamine's first shimmer inks, Red Lustre and green Magical Forest, that only come out once each year for writing Christmas cards. Undisturbed for a year, the shimmer particulate settles to the bottom and it takes quite a bit of agitation to redistribute the shimmer into the ink. Next year, I might tape the bottles to the washing machine for a few cycles before use.
