Notice how they always delete the evidence of their "investigations"?

How is this not copying and pasting?

Ooh, another anonymous source. On X, must be true.
Two more anonymous references? How very compelling.
Quoting anonymous sources is what passes for journalism among the chattering classes.

Has there been an explanation from the Democrat Committee about how the Secret Service texts and the witness transcripts disappeared?
In civil cases spoliation (destruction) of evidence creates a legal presumption that it would be adverse/harmful to the case of the party allowing or causing the destruction.

What if they said they’d prefer not to answer?

I’d understand it to be a violation of their duty as a congressman, and an admission that they’d destroyed them. More akin to dodging the question.

Apparently the DC Trump trial train has been delayed.

The Fischer case will be interesting to watch. Documents filed are linked on the docket page.

    For those with access, https://www.nytimes.com/2023/12/14/o...ump-delay.html

A great line from the op-ed, "This is classic Trump, freeloading on everyone else’s respect for the law. You can drive 100 m.p.h. down the highway only if you are confident the other cars will stay in their lanes."

    "Trump's delay game".

Trump didn't indict himself with frivolous charges and "novel legal theories" in the hopes that a "91 indictments! would kill his candidacy.

Democrats did that because they're worried the guy who nobody would vote for will get elected and do all the things they said he would do last time he was elected - but this time he'll do it even more if he wins - but he has no chance of winning.

    The narratives you leftists spin...

@kazoolaw - have you read the government’s brief in Fischer?

I hadn’t seen it before your link. Thanks.
I thought the Petition for Cert was easier to follow, and did a clearer job of explaining how the case got where it is.
Disclaimer: both docs read quickly before maximum caffeine. US Supreme Court practice was not a practice area of mine.

I started with the amicus brief, which was clear and concise; moved to the petition, which was a more thorough argument than the amicus; and then read the government's brief, which seems to take a scatter-gun approach.
