Sounds like he’s up the creek with out a paddle.
Note to Kazoo, not a literal creek. 😂😂

I feel like I'm the only one who remembers Prince Andrew's nickname in the '80s: Randy Andy.

Queen Elizabeth has family problems played out on a world stage.
More fodder for The Crown.
Formerly, one of the fringe benefits of being a prince was the droit du seigneur. Line up the peasant girls and have your pick.
Of course, in the good old days, you could have them strangled afterwards and their families killed.
European civilisation is simply not what it used to be.
A great book on the history of inequality in America is "White Trash," by Nancy Isenberg. I highly recommend! Eye-opening how, from the start, America was settled by white Europeans with a deeply entrenched and pervasive racial and class hierarchy that many of our founders supported and extolled in their public laws and private writings. America was NOT egalitarian or fair or equitable nor ever meant to be so. Not even close. Our cultural mythology tries to blind us to this cuz America loves hiding from itself its worst truths (we are such babies about this), but this book does a great job of dispelling the myth. It's a big book, and slow moving, but an incredible tour de force of research with primary documents.
It is also very disillusioning because we have all been spoon fed the myths for most of our lives. It's tough to let go of comfortable illusions.

It is good to know there are educators like you, Ted. Maybe you did and I didn't notice if you replied to the purpose of education thread. We'd benefit from your perspective.
Might as well go with the flow. It is my thread afterall.
Evangelicalism is another contruct of white immigration and oppression that I never realized as a student of American History.
"By that she means, Evangelicalism has historically been associated with our White brothers and sisters in Christ. Black Christians have always lived in the peripheral vision of White Evangelicalism—our stories remaining unearthed and untold.
The battle for many Black Evangelicals has always been the fight against assimilation—losing one’s culture for the sake of “gospel unity.” The problem for many Blacks? White Evangelicals are never asked to assimilate. Their culture is seen as default—an out of the box factory setting that defines what it means to be Christian."

Yes! We are so fortunate to have educators like this who are teaching our children to hate everything their parents, grandparents and all the generations before them worked so hard to achieve. It about time we taught all Caucasian children they are the offspring of dangerous white supremacists.

As Jesus said, you know, a brown skinned Jew, 'You shall know the truth and the truth will make you free". There is no freedom without truth and acknowledging that truth. Repentance brings joy.
I remember a Biblcial story of David and Nathan. Nathan told David about a person who took another man's sheep. David was outraged. Then the prophet said, "you are the man" because David has taken a man's wife and had the husband put in a situation where he would be killed.
There is nothing good or any freedom obtained by living a lie.
While I agree, I appreciated the post because it typifies just how these with white greviance think. They will moan and groan about the extremes of the left and turn around and be just as extreme, while the real work is done by the middle because the extremes have other fish to fry.
I'm going to post this here beause of the audience in attendances and not because it's germaine to the topic. Sorry Kaz.
Just in case there are two or there who consider the New York Times a liberal rag.

Between Prince Andrew's wild oats and the party culture at Number 10, poor old Queenie has more than her fair share of aggro these days.
Lends new meaning to the title, “drama queen “!
Chip seems to suggest the privileges of Princes in the past, actually sounds like the privileges of The Kennedy Clan, and Slick Willie (William Jefferson Clinton) and many other people in powerful positions!
