MONTBLANC Patron of Art MAX von OPPENHEIM
Fountain Pen
Limited Edition # 2329/4810
Year 2009
Baron Max von Oppenheim's life was filled with a passion for exploring and discovery, for beauty and the fascination of the Middle East.
He funded archaeological excavations that unearthed vast treasures from ancient Halaf and Assyria.
To honour a man who roamed from Europe to the East, the design of the Limited Edition Max von Oppenheim is inspired by the domes of Eastern mosques. Pale grey lacquer inlays on the barrel, made of 925 sterling silver, are reminiscent to the decoration and frescoes of the Middle East while the fountain pen's gold-plated rings recall the famous designs and reliefs from Tell Halaf
Medium 18K gold rhodium-plated nib is engraved with Bedouin motif.
The pen, completed with the brand's star logo on the cap top, is piece number 2329 out of the 4810 that have been produced.
The pen offered for sale is in mint, uninked and unused condition with lacquered wood display box, illustrated inner box and international service certificate.
