Default Visconti Homo Sapiens Hook Safe Thread Question

Hi all! So I recently acquired a Visconti Homo Sapiens Dream Crystal at last weekend’s LA Pen Show (thank you to whoever sold it to me for such an awesome price (: ) The nib writes wonderfully for an extra fine, and I just have one question about the threads for the hook safe mechanism. Has anyone had any experiences with the QC on these? Mine seem to have been cut a little raggedy, and the marks seem too uniform just to be wear and tear… I’ve attached some pictures below to show what I mean!

They definitely look like tool chatter from a bit that is too dull and needed changed - a QC issue.

I have4 or 5 Viscontis with this system and none look like this. They all work smoothly.
