So Redeem Pens is featured on the current edition of the Pennant. And not just a blurb, but an actual 5-pages article for which I get to chat about what I do in this hobby with Laura Chandler, herself a professional journalist and former editor in chief for both the Pennant *and* Penworld.
I assume most of you here know what the Pennant is, so I won't belaborate on that unlike the post about this that I made on the r/fountainpens subreddit, which is frequented by a lot of beginners in this hobby.
This article was initiated by my correspondence with Jim Mamoulides (PenHero) regarding some obscure pens, and it led into the interview, and I was surprised when Jim asked for two pens to be shipped to him, so he can photograph them. One of the results are featured in the back cover of the magazine
Interestingly, I was featured in this edition to highlight the usage of fountain pens to complement the collecting aspect of this hobby. Some of you are familiar with my sketches, and the fact that I rescue vintage pens with the intention to find new homes for them to be used and loved again.
At a more general level, I made it a point during the interview that PCA needs to reach out to the next generation of fountain pen users because, as they say, the more, the merrier. Isn't that the point of a hobby?
