    Default San Francisco Pen Shops

Hi, am coming to SF in June for a week of conferences and wanted to know which pen shops are worth visiting. Interested in all brands second hand and new. Thanks.

Tell the Posse king when and he will arrange a meeting.

I bought several nice pens from an art supply store on a cross street south of Market. Don't recall the name. They had a single display counter of pens, with Aurora, Parker, Sheaffer, Pelikan, and other top makes.

I bought a Namiki Vanishing Point in carbon fiber and a Parker Duofold International in grey pearl.

In any event, here's an index:

Thanks. Very helpful as I don’t know where I’ll be staying.

You probably were at Flax. Gone. No longer.

I bought a Namiki Vanishing Point in carbon fiber and a Parker Duofold International in grey pearl. They started to offer the best prices after had shifted to Priceva.

Could have also been Blick, which is on Market, that likely had some fountain pens.

Edit: realized they said South of Market. Yeah, that was Flax. RIP, you awesome little art store, you.

Edit 2: looks like they move to Fort Mason: https://flaxart.com/san-francisco-store/
