    Default Introduction New to Forum

    Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum and have been turning kit and kitless pens for a little over two years. Here is one of my pens. It is my first attempt using the Schmidt Piston Filler. The most difficult part was the section cover which is almost paper thin where it threads onto the ink window.

Cap to barrel threads M12 X .8 triple start
Section cover and body to piston unit M10 X .5
    Weight filled 28.9 g
    Length capped 6"
    Length uncapped 5 3/4 "
    Length posted 7 1/4"
Barrel diameter at widest point 14.66 mm
    Cap diameter 15.64 mm
Section cover at widest point 11.1 mm

    Comments welcome.

    Tony

Yep, start with a bang! Welcome to the pen making forum - great to have more contributors!

That's a nice looking pen. Looks like it would post well, which is cool.
