    Default Ink Institute Tamshui-Xinyi Line

This series is a celebration of the Taipei metro. The colour represents red of the colour of the Tamshui-Xinyi Line.

This is how the bottle looks like, curtesy of Shigure inks.

I really like the colour. It’s spot on what I like in a red. It looks spectacular with the wide fude nib:

Unfortunately for some reason it takes its sweet time to dry, on Rhodia and it's even worse on good Japanese paper.Dry time is alright with fine nibs.

It has absolutely no water resistance. Not the best ink to write your shopping list/love letters on a rainy day…. You’ll have a Casablanca moment.

The ink is slightly on the dry side and needed to be cajoled with a #6 fude nib. But with the other nibs I tested, it had no problems. Though don't expect Doyou style lubrication. I would say it has restrained lubrication

    Cheap paper:

Great review as always, Yazeh! I love the color and may have to try a sample. It really brings back memories of my time in Taiwan.

And if you wish to visit on of the very best brick and mortars fountain pen stores - TY Lee Pens, you would take the Tamsui-Xinyi Line towards Xiangshan to the Daan Park stop and walk a few blocks from there. Tools to Liveby and Vision Stationery are a few more blocks south and east of Ty Lee's.

Thanks @Dr. P much appreciated. That must have been quite fun. So many fun stationary stores. I am not sure if you can find a sample of this one, unless from Shigure inks. But the ink is definitely a rich full bodied reddish/ pink. Or might I say bluish red
