    I have found that a syringe is more aggressive on some nipples, won't fit at all on others and it takes much longer to flush a pen. Furthermore 100ml isn't always enough water to flush all of the ink out in one go. I often use two rubber bulbs full for thorough flushing and like the way they fit into the open end of the section. I would never recommend repeated flushing with a hard plastic, ill fitting, syringe rather than a rubber bulb that is so much softer.

    Mine are completely smooth without any seams around them and haven't burst. So far......
