Postage increases

I only just noticed the upcoming postage increase from the US Postal Service, effective 10 July 2022: https://about.usps.com/newsroom/nati...s-for-2022.htm

Briefly:

• Letters (1 oz.) - 60¢ (up from 58¢)
• Letters additional ounce(s) - 24¢ (up from 20¢)
• Domestic postcards - 44¢ (up from 40¢)
• International Letter (1 oz.) and postcards - $1.40 (up from $1.30). But not always. Currently, the basic international letter rate allows up to 2 oz. to Canada according the the USPS online calculator. Are there other exceptions?

Looks like it's time to restock my supply of "Forever" stamps (one of the few good things from USPS in the last few years).

On the plus side, first class parcels are being delivered lately from the east coast to the west coast in only two business days! They must go on the same airplanes as Priority.

On the minus side, virtually every postcard I receive these days is damaged by skid marks dug into the image side. Perhaps the extra 4¢ (compare letters at only 2¢ more) will bring about an end to this postal vandalism.
