Default Yu Yake or Diamine Pumpkin

I'm torn between getting iroshizuku yu yake and daimine pumpkin, both are really good inks but I don't need two oranges. I like the shading and colour of yu yake but I like the pop and saturation of pumpkin and I like the fact that they are both wet flowing inks. Are there any compromise inks that have the colour and shading of yu yake but the pop and saturation of diamine pumpkin?

I love the colour of Pumpkin but it is just horrible for nib creep and general messiness.

Orange is a tricky colour and each person has a different taste. If it's really important to you, I would suggest, you get yourself a bunch of orange samples. You might find a better compromise. Alternatively you can simply buy a small bottle of Pumpkin and enjoy both inks.

I think Diamine Blaze Orange is also a good alternative to Yu Yake.

It really depends on what you want (and where you are). For me Diamine is so much cheaper than Iroshizuku that it's hard to justify (by a factor of 8).

If you were looking for something in between, I really like Robert Oster NG Special 16.

I saw a review of Noodler's Sidewinder Sepia. It reminds me of Diamine Pumpkin.
It seems like a popping orange red. But it's exclusive to Dromgoole's in US.

We have a resident orange lover. Hopefully, she'll see your post and give you some ideas...

I love Diamine Pumpkin and find Iro. Yu yake a slightly boring colour by comparison. All yellow and orange inks that incorporate one particular yellow dye can potentially cause nib creep, depending on the particular pen, and the ink dries to dust on bottle threads. If I remember to do so I open bottles of yellow or orange inks on a clean sheet of white paper and pour any excess dust back into the bottle.

Check this website out. I really enjoy orange inks and have several - each one is a little different and gives off a little different mood. So, my suggestions - if you like both, just buy both. They are different enough. But, if it were me, I would pick Yu-Yake hands down. I have used it for years and love it. It is a great all around orange.
