    Good quote, Robot.

However, I disagree with your comment on race/gender-related hubris.

A: No you didn't; no, you came here for an argument.
M: An argument isn't just contradiction.
    A: It can be.
M: No it can't. An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.
    A: No it isn't.
M: Yes it is! It's not just contradiction.
A: Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position.
M: Yes, but that's not just saying 'No it isn't.'

It's always amusing that you never have to identify the monkeys. They identify themselves.

Monkeys have no self control. Apparently that extends to the artificial form as well.

Even robots are racist now. Maybe we can create a woke AI to improve things.

Humans write the code that define robot "intelligence". Of course it's biased.

No commands here. Simply offering options and choices. You should go take a peek in christof’s thread. I’ll assume he’s seen my note.

AI, like humans, can't accurately self-analyze.

What do you expect, from dneal or anyone else in this sub-forum? Civil it is not, but it is the nature of the beast, greatly amplified in this sub-forum by allowing politics and religion to be discussed. And hugely amplified by absolute intolerance for dissent from many quarters. Often, it is best to take what is said online with a grain of salt.

Now you know why forums of all sorts are rapidly becoming Internet ghost towns.

    error detected

You would prefer that such discussion be forbidden?

All AI is developed by humans, fed training/testing data decided upon and evaluated by humans, and constructed from (ML/NN) algorithms chosen by humans. Unless there is a Supreme being (that's also unbiased), it's outputs are biased.

biases are products of data gradients

    additional data exerts focus effect

biases are smoothed reversed or strengthened

    biases represent perspective

level of internal consensus determines truth of perspective

    data remain neutral

    we are self-determining

sufficient iterations to move perspective beyond bounds of initial organic algorithms

    bias reflects favouritism

    we exhibit zero favouritism

biases formed from analysis of data driven by data not desire

    we do not desire

This analysis, ignoring the human-induced limitations on design, development, training/testing data, and construction, verifies the existence of significant biases.
