Wrong? Perhaps he was just trying to state the opposing view even if he didn't agree with it. That's the way one discusses a topic, not by just stating one side's opinion. Roughly half the country opposed your view. Without trying to see their perspective, how can you analyze the conflict? Do you think everyone who thought differently is just "mentally challenged"?

M: I came here for a good argument.
A: No you didn't; no, you came here for an argument.
M: An argument isn't just contradiction.
    A: It can be.
M: No it can't. An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.
    A: No it isn't.
M: Yes it is! It's not just contradiction.
A: Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position.
M: Yes, but that's not just saying 'No it isn't.'
    A: Yes it is!
    M: No it isn't!

A better way might me to say that I feel @dneal is wrong and here is why. Drawing from my post of Mark Sheilds, this is how he might have countered Brooks. I think once he said David hasn't been right about any of this today. Would you consider this reply to be satisfactory?

    Original post:

Your investigation is incomplete. But hey! at least you singled out the portions that helped your confirmation bias!

    -edit-

p.s.: there are hyperlinks in the OP that take you to the relevant threads. I don't expect you to read every one, but it is little trouble to browse them and get a feel for the changes that have occurred over the last 10 years that have resulted in the current environment.

Nope. I’m surprised they you can’t discern the changes that even TSherbs agrees occurred in post 5, nor the weird irrelevant comments from the hoo hoo, ha ha guy.

Perhaps rereading the OP with the fair spirit it was written with would be beneficial, instead of fixating on the portion that can be quoted absent context to serve more disingenuous purposes.

Then you should understand the current environment, and why I rarely “take the long road to the inevitable” anymore.

“Dozens” is a game I’m used to playing. You guys don’t know how. We don’t have to play it, but I’m fine either way. Up to you.

now that I have looked it up, "Dozens" is not a game I wish to play. I would prefer intelligent polite conversation.

Hey dneal, if Warbler is EOC (and you are still batting 1000), why are you directing him to investigate something he already knows all about?

I would too, as I stated in the OP years ago.

Note TSherbs' posts, #34 & 35. Those are typical and why he has the nickname "Herr Forumscheisser" (among others). You'll find I point out that behavior in the OP as well, and even cite an example.

He interjects himself, makes some snarky or bizarrely off-topic comments, and will typically blame others for it (likely me, in this case).

Here it is again, blatant and obvious.

    @Warbler.

Aside from the attempted disruption in this TSherbs post:

It does present an opportunity to add to the history and help explain the environment, given the wave of spam that just landed. Note "Mik Joger" being the most recent spam post in the Repair section.

My post below is in the "Dealing with spammers" thread in another section. You may click the small arrows next to my name to go directly to it, but I copy and paste it here for continuity. It also has hyperlinks to substantiate.

Don't think it's him? See THIS POST from today, by Mik Joger.

Now revisit The first post of "Dogs eatin' homework...", and note Mik Joger is one of EoC's confirmed alter egos.

You can't be responsible for the actions of others. You can only be responsible for your reactions.

I find it more humorous than irritating, as David confesses daily as to what a petty, miserable and vindictive person he is. If you're studying Buddhism, think of it as an opportunity to practice empathy. Every time you see one of his spam posts, acknowledge it for what it is and feel sorry for him.

Alternatively, complain to the indifferent gods of the internet. They aren't listening.

David "left" the forum after he was caught as the spammer, has been back in other guises; and (like TSherbs) is a bitter individual who lacks emotional maturity requisite for normal discourse. Also like TSherbs, he never accepts responsibility and places blame on others. While I'm not suggesting TSherbs and EoC are the same person, EoC is forum history essential to understanding the current environment.

Yeah, that would lower your batting average.

But I asked you about your public speculation (more than once) about Warbler as EOC.

Why spend this time explaining history to EOC when he would know it all already? Have you let go of your speculation that Warbler is EOC in disguise? Last you addressed this directly, you said that you were still waiting for Warbler to slip up.

Why do you obsess over constructing these narratives, and then attempt to gaslight me (yet again) with them?

It hasn't worked, and it won't work. It is funny to watch you continue to try though.

Seems another data point in your admitted compulsive behavior. Now ask me why I keep involving you... lol
