Beautiful pen! Congratulations on your sale, Ron. In may years of Sheaffer Connaisseur-Grande Connaisseur use & collecting, I have only owned one of those GC Stub nibs. Mine appeared somewhat oblique. Sold to Gary Ellison, UK Sheaffer authority, years ago. See you in DC soon.

Some might consider it sacrilege, but when that pen arrives I plan to put it to use. Who knows what the market will be when the time comes for my son to dispense with my collection, so I will seize the day by seizing the pen.

Can't argue with any of that. The main issue with sewing machines is though that they can't write for sh*t, making them unsuitable for journaling and note taking.
