    Default Comet PANSTARRS

Last night Manny the Jack Russell Terrier and I went to NE Ohio's Observatory Park to look for Comet C/2017 K2 PanSTARRS.

This morning I made a drawing with a Palomino Blackwing pencil from the sketch I made in a Rhodia pocket notebook with my Pelikan M805 clear demo.

Here's a link to my blog post that includes the drawing.

    Thank you, Yazeh.

This morning I added to the blog post a line drawing in my birder's journal that I filled in with some of the Artist Grade colored pencils a colleague gave me after I retired in 2015.

    I've had The Birder's Journal since 2000.

Why the poem? Navy tradition holds that the first entry of the year in the watchstander's log be a poem. As this was the first entry I wrote in my birder's log this year, and as a former Navy officer, I wrote a poem.
