    Mystery Ink #47
Dropping ink into water swashes in the Hahnemuehle Sketch Diary. In comparison to similar inks, looks most like Diamine x Cult Pens Maureen, minus the sheen.

Sorry, will fix soon. I was just trying a different method because I usually look at the forum using my phone, which can't access the BBCode in Flickr.

    Interesting ink #47:
    Chroma is definitely blue:
It's a difficult colour to pinpoint but it doesn't sheen, It's rich full-bodied blue...
    Chrom47.jpg
    Water resistance is almost nil...

I don't have an blue like this one:

dry times seem longer than usual. Ink is almost too wet...

Intriguingly the sheen is almost absent on 68 gr Tomoe River...
    But shading is ever present...

    Loaded MI#46 into a Montblanc 144 - BB.
The color is nice, there is shading.
It does not behave as good as MI#45 on cheap paper.
Water resistance is not existing at all.

Some testing on mead five star paper that usually gives some trouble with fountain pens and ink but had pretty good results from 46 and 47

Mystery Ink #47 tested on Tomoe River cream 52gsm paper in a Seven Seas Writer Journal and on white 80gsm paper in a Rhodia Dot Pad. I also swabbed all 3 onto my Col-O-Dex cards.

Well behaved ink and a lovely shade of blue. Right up my street. ) I think it performs slightly better on the Tomoe River paper, but most inks do that. No sheen or shimmer but some shading. Looking forward to finding out what ink it is.

Actually MI#46 is not a bad ink, for me it´s kind of difficult to get good pictures of MI#46, it seems on my picture it always show a bit too orange.

Here is my latest figure drawing with MI#46.

Just to fulfil the expectations to flood the forum with huge inappropriate pornographic pictures, at least in the eyes of one prude b…h.
No seriously, I really don´t care what she might think, I still believe that most of the people like my work and luckily we have no iron fisted moderation like on FPN.
It´s impossible to please all people.

    Back to topic.
I really like drawing with MI#46.
It has no water resistance at all, but it shades nicely and the color is really cool for hatching/cross hatching pieces.
I also think the warm brownish tone harmonizes good on figure drawing.

This piece is A4 on Strathmore Toned Tan paper.
Using a 50s Montblanc 144 - BB pen the bigger format (often use A5) is better.

I will use the Mystery inks also in Inktober, starting at 5. day (plan is to change the ink after 4 drawings).

I can already tell that I will enjoy using MI#46 much more than MI#45 for drawing.

@Ptero I love your art and your contribution to the forums and this thread. I’d be much obliged if you remove the joke/insult and let your work/ review speak for itself.
We can have a conversation about the the nude/ nudity on a different thread.

I didn’t started with it, in post #65 it’s clear who insulted and discredited whom, nobody complained about that, funny isn’t it? She seems to have jester’s license here so I couldn’t withstand to place at least a little side blow.

I wouldn't rely on the premise that most people like your work,

As you said elsewhere on the Monarchy thread, we are all entitled to our own opinion and mine is that for an adult man to want to publish degrading and insulting images of women in the mistaken belief that they are art shows nothing but a pervert at large.
