I've got one more, on 'bought by mistake' paper (I thought this version of Kokuyo Looseleaf was dot grid, and had removable holes).
But it's nice for fountain pens. These were all dipped, not filled; I wanted to see if they wrote differently from the glass dip pens.
You can see the millions of holes! And the blue ink smeared a little. First time that happened. It washed right off my hand in the shower.
My other pen is a Montblanc.
And my other blog is a tumblr!

Good thatīs not up to you to define what art is.
Here is another artwork, especially for you:

46 seems to be a little finicky on any paper I try, I seem to have skips or flow issues where barely any ink is flowing to paper no matter what I use but I still like the ink since it is a brown shade of ink but I look forward to finding out what 47 is since blue/turquoise are by far my favorite colors and 47 is a particularly nice shade of blue
Thanks

Some qoutes on G. Lalo Verge De France.
I was curious to see how the inks looked on a cream paper.
46 still seems to have flow problems for me, sometimes it writes perfect other times it writes like a super fine nib even though it's a stub nib, and 47 really takes a while to dry no matter what paper I use (noticed I was accidently putting blue partial prints where I was holding the paper down)
Thanks

And the second one with MI#45 for inktober.
Hard for me to use this ink in a painterly way..... as said definitely not my favorite drawing ink, but it behaves really good for writing.
I prefer the writing qualities of MI#45 over MI#46, but I like the color and the shading of 46 much more than 45.

I have received a couple of PM requests to extend the Mystery Ink reveals so they can finish up working with the samples. So if it is okay with the participants, the Ink Reveal will be extended by one week to Friday October 14th.
Thanks very much!
All the Best.

Thanks junglejim, I will need the additional time (even a bit more, but this is ok).

I came upon this quote by Butch Hancock, I couldn't resist posting it
The paper is a "high grade," Apica, shows off well the shading.
Pen is a Jinhao 450, with a medium nib.

I am being a bit slow to do my next step (having ink in a pen and writing with it) because I already have so many pens inked up (so @junglejim don't wait on my account). Here is a page in Mystery Ink #46 using a Pilot Elite EF, on Tomoe River Paper in a Traveler's notebook. I bought this as NOS (new old stock) via eBay at a lower price than usual, so I'm not sure if it's not "normal" quality - it tends to feel scratchy like it needs better flow, but I do enjoy some flex from the nib.

Here is a page in Mystery Ink no. 45 using a Hong Dian with a "long knife" nib (feels like an architect nib to me) - just a word cloud of issues from a recent industry speech. As a side note, I tried to minimise mess by eyedropper filling the pen (removed and replaced the nib, as it's a piston filler pen), but I still managed to cause some splatter. The result was a very stained set of finger tips and some hard scrubbing needed for my bathroom sink area...

I did a text of #47, on Tomoe River paper. After three hours it still didn't dry... I'm beginning to think maybe it's Private Reserve ink..
So I used a tissue paper as a blotter

Well Yazeh came soooo close to identifying MI #47 and actually posted an ink swab and writing sample of it. Very nice try, Yazeh!
Mystery Ink #45 is Taccia Momo Pink. I don't use pinks except in highlighters, but the Boss Lady at work writes all in-lab communications with bright pink ink. ( The Boss Man writes in Black ink and all my communications are in Green.) Before retiring, I gifted her with a Pilot Metropolitan with a bottle of this lovely ink.

Mystery Ink #46 is Fritz Schimpf Sundowner. I received this bottle as a gift from the manager after placing a large order for various sizes of writing pads. A great color with some shading characteristics, and color changes, depending on paper and nib size. I had to share it with some MI penfriends.

The last is Mystery Ink #47 which is Noodler's Blue Eel. This was my go-to ink when I was working full time and I would typically go through most of a 3 ounce bottle each year. It contains a lubricant that keeps piston pens running smoothly. Surprisingly, I've never had a problem with gunked up pistons or converters in all the years I have used this ink.

That's about it for this session. Many thanks to all the participants for your hard work and posts. The next 3 inks have been set aside and will be available some time in early January 2023, the good Lord willing.
Take care and Stay Safe!
