Extremely rare and very hard to find 1921 "circa" Astoria / Montblanc N° 1 EF ebonite safety fountain pen.
Astoria's was founded in Hamburg in 1921 by Mr. Ilgner, an ex former Montblanc employee. Its early products were ebonite safety pens, which are very similar in style and construction to Montblanc pens of the same era. After few years the company suffered a financial crisis and in 1932 it was bought by Montblanc which kept producing pens under this brand until 1936.
Today is a lucky day because I can offer an original 1921 "circa" Astoria N° 1 EF - ebonite safety fountain pen.
