Default Migrants Sent to Martha's Vineyard by DeSantis

Cannot imagine a person doing this to people, just because he can to make a political point.

NYC should vacuum up a big load of bedbugs and rats, and airdrop them on the governor's mansion in Florida.

What airline was used, and what did they know about this manoeuver?

Good point. Seems like the carrier would be exposed to considerable liability, especially if the migrants didn't sign waivers or similar instruments.

I'd also think about charging the governors of Florida and Texas with human trafficking.

David Brooks is a DeSantis doubter.

Should we be surprised? Turns out that duping unwanted persons of color from southern states and sending them north to prominent persons' homes and states has a racist past to the practice:

I'm surprised DeSantis didn't sent democratic voters in those planes, too.

    The planes were charter flights.

Democratic voters pay the taxes that fund his corrupt regime.

Unlike the Republicans (e.g. Trump), who cheat.

But the Democratic Governor of Illinois and Democratic Mayor of Chicago's putting recently arrived migrants on busses and relocating them to a distant suburb of the Chicago without notifying the that town's officials or letting the migrants know what they were doing was ok. Right?

And, funny thing, the town they chose to use for the unannounced relocation is strongly Republican. That had nothing to do with it, did it?

Don't forget about how the current admin transported them to Florida in the first place. But that's just "whataboutism" lol

What's important to note is that blue-anon folks never ask how these "migrants" ended up in the country in the first place, although the sudden concern with spending of tax dollars is hilarious.

These took less than 5 minutes to find.

Did you not look, if you looked and found did you not believe them, or did you look and simply ignore them because who is doing the sending?

The Department of Homeland Security plans to transport migrants awaiting immigration proceedings from U.S. cities along the southern border farther into the interior of the country, beginning with Los Angeles in the coming weeks, according to internal documents obtained by NBC News.
    https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/imm...ting-rcna32530

Catch-and-bus developed when a flood of migrants began crashing over the border in Texas and Arizona in the expectation that the new Biden administration would follow through on campaign promises to let almost all illegal entrants into the country, end most deportations, and provide a path to full citizenship.
Immediately overwhelmed and unwilling to return children with their parents, Biden’s DHS began handing out legal permission slips to pursue more permanent legal status later and put them on outward-bound buses. This practice, in turn, only propelled the crisis because, naturally, its satisfied beneficiaries passed on word of the new catch-and-bus practice on social media networks and calls home. A kind of gold rush began over the frontier that has only gathered volume and intensity by the day
    https://cis.org/Bensman/CatchandBus-...Across-America

The federal government is paying to bus illegal migrants from one border town to New York City, a Texas official told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
The city government of El Paso, Texas, is busing illegal migrants to the Big Apple on the dime of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Deputy City Manager Mario D’Agostino told the DCNF Monday. The federal agency covers the travel costs of illegal migrants through a grant program.
“The travel costs for migrants are covered through FEMA’s emergency food and shelter grant. The City/OEM submits for reimbursement on a quarterly basis as the process dictates,” D’Agostino told the DCNF.

To whom are these questions addressed?

I, for one, knew about all of these things, although I would disagree with some of the characterizations (labels) ascribed by the writers.

What emboldens Trump, DeSantis, and Abbot is the realization that nothing they do will have consequences.

The US needs immigrants and there needs to be a path to citizenship.

The border states are right to complain and be angry.

A significant percentage of immigrants work and reside in Northern states. So, the South can’t suggest otherwise.

    Vile hypocritical idiots.

Without migrants willing to work nasty, low-wage jobs, the economies of Texas, Florida, and the other former slave states would collapse.

Consider this request by Ol' Massa Trump (and the warning about "unexpected visitors.")

Time to welcome new batch of foreign workers to Trump's Mar-a-Lago club/crime scene

    Frank Cerabino, Palm Beach Post
    September 12, 2022

The Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach has filed a request with the U.S. Department of Labor to hire 91 temporary foreign workers next month to staff the club as housekeepers, cooks and servers during the upcoming season.

The club was raided last month by the FBI as part of the government’s continuing efforts to recover scores of highly classified documents that were improperly taken by former President Donald Trump and haphazardly stored in the club in violation of multiple federal laws.

    ***

Bienvenido, Bienvenue, Willkomen, Witaj, Selamat datang and Добро пожаловать (Dobro pozhalovat):

We are so glad to have you foreign workers join us this year at Mar-a-Lago to serve and clean up after the people who value putting America first.

We are looking forward to a busy season with many guests at the club, including possibly some who are not club members.

So, it will be important for everybody on the property, right down to the cleaning staff, to know how to respond to the arrival of unexpected visitors.
