If anyone still remembers "junglejim's" Mystery Inks #42, 43, and 44 then he included as #44 the most lovely yellow ink KWZ El Dorado. I thought it a great yellow and loved the vanilla smell that I was unaware happens to be a feature of KWZ inks.
I was so taken with it I tipped it into my transparent Moonman C2 that has a M nib. For the uninitiated these Moonman pens are eye dropper fillers and even come with their own dropper. However, filling one from a sample vial is very easy and I often use my sample vials for this purpose as I have two Moonman C2 pens
Stupidly I replaced this pen cap down into my pen pot and the next time I came to write a letter with it (yesterday) there was some ink inside the cap. Now I know you are all miles ahead of me here but I will press on. I removed the cap and the barrel and tipped the ink from the cap into the barrel. However then I decided to rinse out the remaining ink stain from the cap. Yep. Like a complete idiot, as I was replacing the section into the barrel I tipped the barrel a bit too far and my beautiful yellow ink came out all over my desk blotter. I was so angry with myself as I cleaned up, and even worse, I only have a little bit left in my pen. Boo Hoo.
Lesson Learned. Next time I will be much more careful. Please take this as a warning to be extra careful with eye dropper filler pens.
