How do I delete a thread?

How do I delete a thread that I started, that has devolved to nasty attacks, etc.?

Cannot be done. Admin level only, and our owner rarely is around.

Jon is right. You can completely delete any of your posts but if you're the thread starter you can only edit and delete all of the content of the initial thread.
