Sorry Chuck, no "hissy fits or rants" from me over this........it's of no matter to me whatsoever that you were not insulted.
In fact, I would have predicted a response like this from you because 1. It gave you an opportunity to disagree with me and 2. You're not smart enough to have recognized the need to have been insulted. This, plus it is quite clear your wish is to see the USA destroyed, as we know it, and have us become a socialist republic.
I was greatly offended by EoC's comment but I freely admit that there is some element of truth to it. There are some very stupid people in the USA and you are at the top of that list. So, again, no reason for a rant or a hissy fit today.
In closing, let's review a couple of the mantras which you have repeated (i.e. ranted about) again and again over the past two years:
1. In a democracy, majority rules and
2. Election deniers are treasonous people who are disseminating misinformation and are perpetuating a big lie.
I'm thinking some of these topics may bubble back up again soon.
See you tomorrow!

Please re-read Posts 1 & 7. I understand the sentiment, but ....
Please give us your over/under numbers for Senate and House.
Thanks kazoolaw. I understand and agree with where you are coming from........
If Mr. Naill regrets hijacking your thread and deletes his post, I will be glad to delete mine. However, since his inflammatory, rude post was addressed to me..... wrong as that was of him to do....... I am not going to leave it without a rebuttal.
As for my numbers, I have already posted them (post #14).
I don’t intend to delete, so 724 is safe.
Chuck, while that rant appears to me to be from the team blue perspective; it would make a decent topic for its own thread.
Perhaps copy/paste it with a title, and delete the one from here?
p.s.: what's your over/under?
"A truth does not mind being questioned. A lie does not like being challenged."
I don't remember having to be asked anything to post in this forum.
Do you have an over/under?
"A truth does not mind being questioned. A lie does not like being challenged."

Kaz, I will respond in 30 days. Sorry, it’s been real busy here.
Be well.
If Trump runs now, he'll kill the party.
Nah, the bench is too strong.
What it ought to tell politicians and pundits is that everybody is tired of hearing about Jan 6, and the bullshit narratives that have been built around it.
"Most violent armed and deadly insurrection since..." and "Everybody knows the 2020 election was like, totally stolen, because everybody loves me..."
I don't know if it's a voluntary return to normalcy, or simple fatigue from each radical wing chimp screaming nonsense.
"A truth does not mind being questioned. A lie does not like being challenged."
Agree.
Right now I think we have two very fractured parties..........
Republicans: Pro-life Republicans, Pro-choice Republicans, Pro-Trump Republicans and No Trump Republicans. With DeSantis's massive show of strength he is clearly the new leader of the Party and pretty much a shoo-in in 2024 if the Democrats don't come up with someone(s) other than Biden & Harris. I think Trump & his backers would be fools to not jump on board the DeSantis train. The man likes to make deals and he just might cut himself & his family a deal for pardons, if necessary, when DeSantis becomes the President. Which he will unless the Democrats do something drastic.
Democrats: Progressive, Moderate & Conservative. One might think there could be a moderate who could bridge the gap(s) between the extremes but, if there is, he or she has not yet been identified. The election may well not have been a "Red Wave" but it seems to me the Democrats understand they were out of touch and going in all the wrong directions. I see zero chance that Biden & Harris can get them back on the right track even if they keep the House & the Senate. Which they won't.
From news I sighted it was suggested that incumbent party's typically fare badly (lose seats I suppose) in mid-terms. Meaning that in this one the Dems performed better than expected. Not sure if the first part is true though, and the second part is obviously a predicate. The election may well not have been a "Red Wave" but it seems to me the Democrats understand they were out of touch and going in all the wrong directions.
Apologies to kazoolaw, but I think the predictions are recorded and we'll have to see how it ultimately plays out.
Regarding the parties, seems everybody is tired of the old guard - red or blue. The value of listening to Bannon's thoughts are that he gets the populist movements correct. Bernie and Trump were both populist movements with different goals. Superdelegates bumped Bernie, and nobody wanted Hillary (old-guard). Trump's obnoxiousness outweighed his policies, and the country was tired of that too. Now we're back to the old guard (Biden) as a cover for the progressives (basically Obama's folks).
The pendulum was pushed far one direction by Obama and Co, the counterswing got us Trump, and the inertia is being lost as we return to some semblance of center.
There's chaos in the GOP, because Trump; but there's a lot of pushback right now. He's got a big bet to make. He wants to win another presidential election, to "show them", but his ego can't take another loss. The New York Post has a "Trumpty-Dumpty" cover, and an article labeling him "Toxic Trump". That'll stick as hard as "crooked Hillary", "Lying Ted", etc... See: Scott Adams on narratives and persuasion.
That said, and as noted earlier; the GOP has a strong bench. DeSantis is the obvious one, but there's Kristi Noem as another. There are a bunch of sleepers that could rise to prominence. Glenn Younkin, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Richard Grenell, Jim Jordan, etc... that are charismatic and could run a good campaign.
The Democrats are having a harder time. Tulsi is representative of "classic liberals" who are done with the lunacy. Bill Maher roasts them regularly. Dave Rubin has made a career of leaving. #walkaway is about the current progressive Democrat party. SNL did a skit a couple of weeks ago eviscerating the Dem bench. I could go on. Beto, Stacey Abrams, Joy Reid telling MSNBC viewers that no one knew what "inflation" was until the GOP started using the word. Absolute lunacy. They seem to be pinning their hopes on Gavin Newsome, but I can't see him winning a national election. Everybody hates California and their policies and politics.
To come full circle to the thread - it looks like the GOP will take the House. They have to win every outstanding race to win the Senate - which is unlikely. That's good from a GOP perspective. More gridlock, more economic damage from the admin, more frustration. Democrats will blame Republicans, but when you have the Presidency and one chamber of congress - that's a hard sell. Once the Republicans start their hearings and investigations, it gets worse for team-blue. They're going to be stuck defending the NIH, CIA, FBI, IRS, etc... Nobody likes the federal government.
