Trying to recover from football weekend.

Already pitched a fit, so I'm well ahead of the game. Also put up a slow cooker of Italian beef.
My other pen is a Montblanc.

And my other blog is a tumblr!

Yesterday spent getting ready for today's forecast of ice/snow:
get maintenance done on wife's vehicle,
    bulk shopping trip to Costco,
    unload bulk groceries,
blow the inch of snow off drive before the rainfall,
avoid TV for a 24 hour period,
begin re-reading Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel.
Sigh deeply, head off to bed.

Today: waiting for the end-of-the-world ice storm.

Mailed package. Made breakfast with air fryer potato wedges which reminded me why I hate nonstick sprays.

Editing a chapter. Thinking 'bout lunch.

Sailor Kenshin-I'm not a cook but...
My wife uses olive oil to make potatoes in the air fryer: yum.

Mine were fried in ghee (clarified butter) this morning.

Didn't promise anybody, but all this talk about fried potatoes had me jonesing for them...

Got stuck in a YouTube trap watching Larry Bird highlights.

    I miss real basketball.

Woke early, thinking football season's nearly over. Cleaned some pens. Transferred ink into a dropper bottle.

Early supermarket run. Breakfast. Ogled pens online, threw some in Wish List.

Set up slow cooker sliced beef in gravy.

Threw together Butter Garlic Parm Italian Loaf.

Frozen pizza horrible. Glad there was the Italian loaf.

    I want a nap.

We live in Kansas City, so we are recovering our vocal cords and eating leftover Super Bowl Mexican buffet food. So good!

I visited a doctor's office. He gave me a diagnostic steroid shot in my wrist, then sent me on my way. I'm to tell him later whether or not it reduced numbness in my hand. By the time I got to the parking lot my hand was number than it was before the shot. I'm going to extrapolate and assume he would want to know about that. (The numbness has now returned to baseline.)

I hope the numbness doesn't keep increasing overnight.

M: I came here for a good argument.
A: No you didn't; no, you came here for an argument.
M: An argument isn't just contradiction.
    A: It can be.
M: No it can't. An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.
    A: No it isn't.
M: Yes it is! It's not just contradiction.
A: Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position.
M: Yes, but that's not just saying 'No it isn't.'
    A: Yes it is!

Thanks. Not to worry. The numbness returned to baseline before bedtime. I just thought it was a funny story.
