M: I came here for a good argument.
A: No you didn't; no, you came here for an argument.
M: An argument isn't just contradiction.
A: It can be.
M: No it can't. An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.
A: No it isn't.
M: Yes it is! It's not just contradiction.
A: Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position.
M: Yes, but that's not just saying 'No it isn't.'
A: Yes it is!
M: No it isn't!
Enjoyed a 75 degree day - in August?
Serviced the wife's Subaru. Been trying to persuade her to trade it for one of those zippy little 300 HP GR Corollas, but she loves that little Subie for some reason.

Had brunch with the boy and his girlfriend today. Wife remains hopeful.
AND
Just saw a bobcat traipsing along the fencerow in the direction of one of the trundlelump dens.

Woke 0Dark30 to stagger around looking for stuff to give away. Ran to store when it opened. Tested new magic ink. About to fall asleep.
Go bobcats.
My other pen is a Montblanc.

A lot more of this.

Cooked hamburgers using Ernest Hemingway's recipe. The recipe calls for Spice Islands' discontinued Mei Yen Powder. I found their (Spice Islands') recipe for a replacement and used it. The results of all that did not induce ecstasy as some have reported, but the burgers were good.
Many web sites list modified versions of the recipes (hamburger and Mei Yen) and claim that they are the originals. I found the actual originals and will post them if there is interest.

I'd like to see the recipe please and tell me more about the taste.

Rickrolled (I hope) a couple of spambots.

Aah so. One of my ASMR things I spend way too much time watching. I especially like the vertical Rotor types with the corkscrew & cutter wings that'll get down 2-3' below the surface. No hi-speed things spitting hi-speed particles everywhere, just gits down & gits 'r done, roots & all!
LOL

I like machines, even when I don't understand the acronyms.
Up at 4AM to wander indoors looking for things to put away, clean, prep. Later, at a decent hour, we tried going to a museum. No parking. Anywhere. Returning, we put up a wash. The dryer broke.
Everyone hates Mondays, even if you're retired.

I'm retired. Watched it rain all day. Didn't hate it.
On the back of a tractor is a "Power Take Off" (PTO). It's just a spinning shaft. You can hook all kinds of stuff to it, and even run it through various gear boxes to use it as a mower deck or tiller or even a woodchipper.
In this case, there's a 400lb disk on the end of it. It has a bunch of carbide teeth. It's like an abrasive disk on the end of a Dremel tool, but two feet wide, and it grinds stumps instead of nibs.

Well looky what I found! <[click]
That's it. He should start on one side and work across. If you try to cut with the descending side of the disc, it hops like you see in the video.
Start at about 9:30 in this video and you can watch 10 minutes of ASMR stump grinding.

Wife got a snap of the bobcat this morning, ready to pounce on a rabbit.
Both parties were yelled at and told to take that somewhere else where nobody has to see it.

Relooking the thread (and post)... directly behind the cat in that picture is the brush hill one of the trundlelumps lives in. They're going to need to be thinned, and he's welcome to the task.
For those unfamiliar, Apple references "The bobcat, also known as the red lynx (Lynx Rufus), is one of the four extant species within the medium-sized wild cat genus Lynx".
He's coiled up for a spring in the pic, but I'd put that one at 16-18 pounds. I hope it stays around. Bigger than a Maine Coon and better than a barn cat for doing its job and needing no maintenance.
Here's a video of a bobcat in Missouri, that a Mr. Godfrey posted on YouTube 11 years ago:

Squee! Received a large package from a penfriend in Hong Kong containing ink samples and a box of moon cakes (red bean filling) for the upcoming moon festival in September. Also cleaned out 2 pens and put them away. Have to figure out what to replace them with.

Finally, a decent day to work outside, temps only in the mid-80's. Lifted my spirits enormously, even if it meant cleanup after TS Debby. Came inside and inked my new LAMY matte Royal Red Studio. Sigh.
