Ink Review: Papier & Stift Should I type or should I write - Diamine Exclusive

“Should I type or should I write” is one of three new Diamine exclusive inks available only from Papier & Stift, Germany.

I have all three of these unsaturated blue or blue grey inks to review. I would call “Should I type or should I write” a grey toned light teal ink.

It took a long time before we were able to come up with an exclusive ink again.*Or actually to three exclusive inks.*This time our special love lies on the shading of the inks: each of the three exclusive inks has a special, almost two-tone shading.*
"Should I type or should I write" is a turquoise base tone that turns gray as the ink is applied thicker.

I wrote with “Should I type or should I write” on Tomoe River 52gsm cream paper in my Seven Seas Writer Journal as well as on white Rhodia Dot Pad paper and in a Paperblanks Journal.

It has lovely shading but I don’t see so much colour shift with this one. It starts off as a grey-teal and still looks very similar when it dries. I like the colour and it’s a well behaved ink.

I had no problems at all with its flow or lubrication and didn’t find it too light to write letters with when using nibs as wide as M or wider. It looked lighter when using the EF and F nibs just like the other two inks did.

No show through or bleed through. Not water proof.

These three inks are all quite similar to each other and maybe not everyone will want to buy all three of them. Hey Ho Let’s Write is grey blue, Lust for Write is blue and Should I type or should I write is grey teal. If I had to pick one then my preference would be Lust for Write but I always like blue inks.
