Default Pilot 743 dropped and ink flow is off

So I received for Christmas a very nice 743 EF in maroon. I wrote perfectly out of the box and it was great at work when I have to put lots of info in a small space. Then, as I am a goober, I dropped it. The nib looks fine both to the naked eye and with magnification, but feels a bit less smooth and the ink flow is inconsistent and occasionally stalls. I know nothing of pen repair. and as a complicating factor the pen is from Japan. I have not heard back from Pilot USA as to whether they can address the issue. Any advice from the sages here?

    thanks for any advice, Keith

    Ouch.

The biggest problem is that you can't buy loose Pilot nibs (other than vanishing point). As long as the tines aren't bent at some acute angle, it's just an issue of realigning/retuning. There are quite a few folks that can do that.

    Can you post a pic?
