Hello from the Deep South, USA!
I’ve been using fountain pens since 1970 and collecting since 1999. Since my interest has always been connected to history, I started with WWII American pens, and after numerous starts and stops, including a dive down the MB/Pelican rabbit hole, and is now focused on Cold War pens. I will not buy a pen I won’t use, which gives some collectors fits, but that’s just me!
