Diamine Enkindle is a Hong Kong exclusive ink. It’s an unsaturated, yellowish orange ink that has a lovely pink/golden shimmer and sheen. I recommend you should use a free flowing pen and coated or non-absorbent paper to see it’s sheen and shimmer at it’s best.
Enkindle flowed very well through my pens, was neither particularly dry nor wet, and felt well lubricated when writing across the page. I saw some nice shading and some sheen on Tomoe River and Maruman Mnemosyne papers. It’s saturated enough to be easily readable.
I didn’t notice any skips or hard starts when I put the uncapped pen down to do swab tests, dry times and water resistance. I didn’t see any feathering on the papers I wrote on.
Available only from LuFish Co. Hong Long via the Pinkoi platform in 80ml glass bottles that feature a pretty, specially designed label. I also found a seller on Etsy who sells it within the UK and he or she also sends to the US. The UK price seems to be between £25 and £30.
My sample was kindly provided by Diamine Inks for review purposes.
