That's why I would never call an ink bulletproof. Here's something I once wrote on the penexchange:
In this respect, the EG cannot come close to the nano document inks, which is why I would always recommend them for light use. As far as "classic" use of files is concerned, a milkmaid invoice and a quote:
9 months light test x 30 days = 270 days; x 12 hours of light = 3240 hours of light.
20 min file usage/day x 250 days/year = 5000 min : 60 = 83 hours per year.
3240 : 83 = 39 years.

If I use my cell phone to measure the light intensity directly at the window, as in the test, and at a distance of 1m from the window, as on a desk, then the difference in brightness is a factor of 20.
39 x 20 = 780 years. Other aging factors are also relevant.

We're going to do it all now.
We have the authenticity criteria of the standard here https://fpgeeks.com/forum/showthread...l=1#post391642
IG cannot resist hydrochloric acid and bleach, so they do not meet any standard https://www.penexchange.de/forum_neu...mittel#p289622
But for everyday use you don't have to suffer any disadvantages, such as increased cleaning effort, if you don't need the advantages, such as document authenticity.

Now we need a black/black IG ink!
(I don't believe I'll survive another 39 years, nor am I pouring bleach on my desk, so I should be fine with IG).

@Thom, for me the only importance with permanent inks is that when I write ideas, story lines etc or the shopping list t won't dissolve with a mishap of spilled water. Once my shopping list, written with Diamine Syrah a few snowflakes dissolved the list and made a mess.
I normally get rid of my notebooks after anyway![]()

Great, the Declaration of Independence is written with Irongall, but I think it hung unfavorable in the light for a while. And that's #3 on my hottest stuff list
(#2 is my Swan Pen https://www.penexchange.de/forum_neu...t=2400#p366616).![]()

Aurora is my favorite, its just an excellent all around performer and very dark. Carbon Black is super, but I am leery about using it in some pens because, well, other folks are and I am not interested in having to take pens apart.
