Default First Post and Montblanc Returns

I inherited my fathers tri colored medium nib 149 that he purchased in 1970 from a store in Houston, Texas after passing the bar. The roller ball Classique was purchased later in the 70s. The 149 was stored away for over 20 years due to my father passing until yesterday. Dromgooles in Houston had a nib adjuster come in for the day so I stopped in. A few adjustments later and the pen is back writing beautiful strokes again. Thanks go to Kirk Speer for bringing this special pen back to life.

    Cool! Thank you for sharing.

If that feed was factory-installed and the pen was purchased new in 1970, the 149 dating chart that I have will have to be adjusted. Anyone have a newer version? Barry?

I have two Mont Blanc 149's both with split ebonite feeds......just like yours. I am sending one of them to a nib specialist to get it ground to a Fine/Extra Fine. They are both Medium nibs and I want the ability to write a "finer line". Presently both write very smoothly and I'm hoping the nib meister can work his magic when modifying the Medium nib...... and it writes just as smoothly as it does now!

Hello jlow28, Beautiful 149, great nib, and a wonderful family connection. The final feature is its most important. Hope you enjoy it for many years.
