    Default Notebook Covers!

Not sure if this is the right place for this. Since there is no journal/notebook/cover picture thread I guess I will start one.

Just a picture of some of my leather notebook covers.

    From left to right:

    1. Renaissance Art Pocket Moleskine Cahier cover with a doane paper notebook inside. A string holds the notebook in place similar to the Midori. Very nice rustic cover.
    2. Beastly Leather (Etsy) Moleskine Cahier Cover with a generic notebook inside. It only works with Cahier sized notebooks. Field Notes and doane paper will work. Rhodia small Webnotebook is too big as well as the Pocket Moleskine. This one just arrived yesterday and is very thick leather. It has trouble staying closed because of the thickness. It will have to be broken in.
    3. VadeMecum Leather Pocket Molekine Notebook Cover. Works with Pocket Moleskine, Rhodia Small Webnotetebooks and similar sized notebooks. Soft, pebbled leather in very good quality. I hope J. Duarte is okay. He is the maker of these fine notebook covers but stopped responding to emails for no apparent reason.
    4. Lands End Passport Wallet repurposed as Notebook Cover. Has a doane paper notebook inside. Very soft fine leather. I use this one when I want to go for a bit more refined look.

#4 looks awesome. That's an original idea (to me), using this as a notebook / sketchbook cover. You've got me thinking....

I like #1. The leather has an interesting used look.

    Hi there,
What size is the Lands End Passport Wallet repurposed and also the size of doane paper notebook inside? - I am a newbie to this area of the network.

Yes, very rustic looking but nice. The cord knots are also very elaborate. I think a friend said it was a cobra knot.

They all accomodate 3-3.5" x 5-5.5"" notebooks. The doane paper notebook is 3.5"x5.5" ( http://doanepaper.bigcartel.com/prod...book-pack-of-3 ) No affiliation.

very nice post, KrazyIvan! I never would have considered repurposing a Lands End passport wallet, but great idea. I'll have to make a note of that for myself. =)
