Two limited edition Lamy Safari ballpoints - last year's neon coral (to match my FP, of course) and this year's neon lime (I'll probably get the FP later on in the year if they're still kicking around, which they likely will be).

(FPs are lovely and I use them for lots of longterm writing sessions like rewriting class notes, but there's something to be said about pens that I can leave uncapped that still write without drying out. And these come with the same sort of section as their FP brothers, so they're just as comfortable to use. Good on you, Lamy, for not making the design dramatically different between the different models of Safari and Al-Stars; much more ergonomic.)

Change of plans: the P1 is still coming, but now I'm excited to say I have bought my first Montblanc--a 142!

Montblanc Brahms with an EF nib is on order. The wonderful people at Paradise Pens checked with MB to see if they had any in stock within the country and they also price matched! Just waiting for the call to schedule a pick-up as the gentleman I worked with is a big FP collector (he has every VP LE and a few other choice pens) and wants to make sure I am satisfied with the pen!

They also have a MB Steinway that keeps making googly eyes at me every time I walk in. My heart says yes, my pocketbook says I'm broke!

I was waiting for an unused Parker 61 set with box and paperwork from Kranz. It came today and it is everything I imagined. It won't get inked. The eraser on the pencil is hard but unused. It will sit next to my Flighter (unused) with a clip sticker.

I'm currently waiting for the arrival of a Jinhao x450 and a Jinhao 599. I've got some ink samples now, and didn't want my first tests of them to be in my expensive pens, so I bought a few more cheap pens to use instead.

You can always use them to test out different inks

Yeah I've got a fair few to test (I think 10) good point. If I don't like it would make a great little PIF to send out.

Stipula Speed in white. On the FedEx truck for delivery right now. It's a replacement for the one in the pic sent by Stipula since the piston didn't work.

I wasn't going to buy any more pens, although I do have a Pelikan 140 out for repair. But I ordered a couple of inks from Jet Pens (Iroshizuku Kon-Peki and Platinum Pigmented Blue), and on a whim, paid an extra $2.95 for the Jet Pens Chibi, a tiny cartridge pen. Probably a waste of $2.95 for me, as I already have plenty of cheap but good pens, but I was curious. I'm looking forward to the inks, anyway.

I've got a custom designed pen I'm waiting on, it has been quite the journey which is just making the anticipation better, even the material is being custom made. Cannot wait to share the story when it finally arrives...

A Jinhao 150 in black, and a Jinhao X750 in shimmering sands. Goulet Pens has a BOGO deal on that model X750 if you buy another Jinhao from them, and I decided to take advantage of it.

Yes, my favorite writer, an early Balance OS undergoing re-repair. I know celluloid repair cannot be rushed, so it'll be a couple months or more.
