Managed to get the "Deep Ocean Blue." I guess it was a limited edition released in Australia. It's the same material as the Elements "water" but no white stripe! And the threads are standard instead of the "hook and turn" mechanism on the elements and other pens.

Pictures look gorgeous so I can't wait to see it in person.

    Pic from the ebay listing:

P.S. Both pens should be here Thursday! Crazy fast shipping!

I'm waiting for two older Danitrios from before their decision to specialize in urushi and other ultra-expensive finishes. These are far less sophisticated, but they look fine and I can afford them... especially at the Chatterley Luxuries sale price.

Sheaffer Triumph in grey pearl striated, a pretty good eBay win at $23, I think!

Pelikan should be here tomorrow. (Signature confirmation is difficult when I work constantly...)

I'm a little worried about my Pelikan pen...

It was supposed to be delivered on Thursday, but I'm never home during the day so a notice was left for redelivery. I signed it and requested a redelivery online. I left the slip in my mailbox yesterday. The slip is gone but no pen.

Check online, says delivery scheduled for today. Well the postman came today, and still no pen.

WHY USPS WHY!?!?!? I just want my pen!

You should test it fully before rinsing and wrapping it up for under the tree.

Don't be let down... the Prera is a great pen and a work horse to boot.

    What color did you get?

    Hi Earthdawn
I ordered the demonstrator as it my first clear pen. I have some favourite inks like Herbin Bleu Pervenche and Diamine Burnt Sienna that I think would look cool flushing around inside the pen. My needs are very modest. In line with my finances. I would love a sudden infusion of wealth and let me indulge in the high end pens and see what beholds there but it does not worry me too much. My modest herd gives me enough pleasure. And really enjoying good pens is not a decadent pastime really. The beauty of some of these pens and the anticipation of their arrival is worth the cost to those who can afford. In fact i got my biggest thrill in buying a Parker 51 from a seller website for $30 not quite knowing what it was. I took a risk based on some poor photos and thought it was worth the gamble. The thrill of receiving it and finding out it was in fact a Parker 51 and a beautiful writer and in beautiful condition was something I will never forget. I am still looking for another such bargain.

Haha, I was shocked how fast the Visconti got here. And the Prera is a nice pen. I've got one that's clear with the green trim. Writes nicely and it's fun to see the ink inside. I actually converted it into an eye-dropper pen without much trouble so there's even more ink! My only qualm is it's a little small for me.

Hope your pen gets to you soon!
