I always wanted one of those Ranga Bamboo pen from India (I am an ebonite fan).
Today I realized that I can order one from Peyton Street without nib which is perfect for me because I don't particularly care about modern nibs.

    So I ordered

    Cob,

Is that British made? I had a similar pen but faceted, in a similar box.

Given its likely age I should think that it is US-made. It probably dates from before the First World War.

It is arriving tomorrow so all will be revealed!

Finally got the email that Franklin-Christoph got to me on the list for the Antique Glass Model 02! It was hard to wait from May 18th to now. Not that I did not get other pens while I was waiting It just was not the same. I was starting to give up hope and look at ordering something else. I ordered it with no clip and a Masuyama M-CI nib.

Should have it in a few days.

Two Pilots. Pilot Kaküno EF - I have fingers crossed for a clear one, but I wont know if the request was understood until it gets here.

The other is a brown Prera with a fine nib which will be immediately swapped with the fine italic from a Pluminix. I really like the FI nib but found it didn't play nice until I loaded it with Iroshizuko ink (received as a birthday gift a few weeks ago). What a difference! All the erratic flow issues disappeared. Delighted. I also like the choc milk colour of the Tsukushi so much it is getting this (hopefully!) matching pen as a permanent home.

Snap! I have a clear Kakuno on the way from Japan.

I also have a brown Prera. It is a *very* dark brown; almost black except in bright sunlight.

Oh. I hope the Pilot has changed the colour, rather than the ebay seller change the photo... but after looking at other images I think I'm going to be a bit disappointed. They do look more black than brown.

This is the picture from the listing:

    First post!

Been using fountain pens for ages. I've always wanted a custom pen but I never got around to having one made. Well, until now, that is. Looking forward to receiving a Scriptorium in ten months or so!

Platinum 3776 UEF, cant wait to try the nib. I had a Chartes, loved the size, but with a soft nib. Did not like that the soft nib does not has a fine line, and the blue yellow was a bit to much for me. Sold the blue and bought the black. I would prefer silver trim but no UEF on the silver trim.

Waiting on a clear Pilot Kakuno from Japan, and a Kaweco Perkeo (F).

Tried to resist, but the dark side called.

A Jinhao 992 in opaque grey. I've been using a clear one for a few months and like the weight, shape and nib very much. I think the grey one with silver trim will be, for me, a really pretty pen. The ebay description called it a 2017 edition, I don't know if that's marketing-speak or a reason to hope it might be less likely to crack. Fingers crossed.

Not sure why I ordered a new pen before I have given my new Franklin-Christoph model 02 much writing time, but I ordered a Sailor 1911L with a B nib and rhodium finish. It should be here tomorrow. What can I say it was only $145 with Amazon prime shipping. I had been thinking about getting one for a while with a M nib to have something a little wider then the MF I have on a 1911S, but I am starting to drift into wider nibs these days and thought I would give it a try for $40 less then the M would have been. I can always use that money to pay to have it reground to a CI or something.
