Sammyo posted pictures on Facebook / Instagram. I saw Delta Dolcevitas in photos. I went browsing the web looking for one. Ended up finding a Visconti HS Jade in-stock and available with an EF nib. It's with UPS. I hope they don't destroy it. They have a habit of damaging every package that's ever been delivered to my house.

Montblanc B nibs are already quite stubbish, not at all rounded. It wouldn't be too difficult to just flatten it a bit more yourself if you wanted to look on a You Tube video to check exactly how to do it. You would only need a nib smoothing board.

I made a B nib on my Boheme into an Architect grind just using a nib smoothing board. It took me ages though.

Waiting for a pen from John Twiss. Finally making up for my terrible mistake at the Cambridge Pen Show a year or so ago when he had a lovely pen in yellow/mauve casein (IIRC) and I didn't buy it.

I have a barrel and section for one of my Parker 45's coming from Five Star Pens. The pen it is going on went through the wash and I have been unable to locate a replacement barrel. That was shipped today. Then tonight I bought as a BIN off ebay a restored 51 Vacumatic Demi in burgundy. Both should be here by Tuesday.

This MontBlanc apparently was produced as a budget school pen. It is on the way from Japan.

I confess I am having second thoughts. I probably should have resisted and sprung for one of a few vintage flex pens I had been eyeing.

I’m waiting for an ‘80s Mont Blanc 146 to come back from repair. I wasn’t thinking and I put in the pocket of my jeans. When I sat down the barrel must have flexed because it developed a small leak where the barrel meets the fill window. 4 to 6 week turn around time for a new barrel.

Interesting barrel material. In the back of my mind there is a faint memory of an independent pen maker who creates custom pens from similar material. Cannot remember who it is though.

And speaking of custom made pens, I am waiting on the following (not including the pen pillow, alas).

The shape is based on the Sailor King of Pen with a slightly longer section by my request. The material is Conway Stewart Dartmoor acrylic. Nib to be decided. The maker is a true gentleman and very skilled with the lathe. PM me if you want details.

Waiting for a Nakaya Suigyo! I like the color blue, I like sea shells, I like fish, and I like handmade stuff. Let's not forget that the pen is just damn gorgeous.

Now, I wish my wait is not as long as a freaking year.
