I found a smoking deal on this Wahl Ringtop set and box. I couldn't pass it up. The nib might be a bit tweaked but it was worth the risk to me. Should arrive tomorrow.

I had to part out my first Ringtop, so I have been looking for a replacement for a couple months now.

And now for something on the opposite end of the spectrum (in several ways):

LAMY Studio Fountain Pen - Terracotta (Special Edition) and LAMY Studio Fountain Pen - Olive (Special Edition) Yes. Both.

Visconti Watermark demonstrator with silver overlay. Ordered from La Couronne Du Compte at the end of December, when they were offering 20% discount across the board. I have been told that the pen has been despached, but not arrived yet. Patience.

Oooh that is starting to sound like a long time. Does the tracking tell you exactly what is happening with it?

Just to clarify - it wasn't despached until 14th Feb, after a bit of reminding on my part. I am expecting it any day now.

That doesn't sound quite so bad then.

Been a bit naughty and got this for a song.

I think it is a standard English Parker Duofold. It is an aerometric.

It also will arrive (eventually) with a ?button filling version? that lacks the innards, the clip and a cap tassie (but hey, the pen was included in the deal).

The nibs are these (working pen at the bottom). No idea what width these are though.

This is likely to be my last eBay pen purchase, and was really only entered into because it was dead cheap. I have no confidence in eBay sellers anymore, which is probably good all things considered.

These Newhaven Duofolds are tremendous value for money. Without seeing the rest of the pen I can't tell which type of button filler the other one is but by the look of it, I suspect it's an AF. The missing parts are relatively easy to come by.

I buy in eBay constantly and I find that there are many excellent sellers. Compared with a few years ago, buyers are very well supported if anything goes wrong.

I'll post more pictures when they get here. The button filler one didn't have a picture showing the button, but I could see where the blind cap joined the body.

Yes, buyers are supported well in the event of things going wrong, but the sheer frustration of time and distance in such circumstances (remember I live on a remote island) leads me to the conclusion that unless something is "throwaway" cheap it's just not worth the risk. And I've been burned quite a few times, even from supposedly reputable sellers. So, no. Unless I see a killer deal I will keep my tiny collection stocked with mostly modern pens bought from proper outlets. It's just how I feel about it all.

I've been wanting a Waterman Hemisphere Lux Saphir since I first found out about the pen a year ago.

As stocks depleted prices went up so I hesitated. I saw last night that Amazon has them listed for significantly less than I've been seeing for a long time. So one is on its way!

Have you gotten them yet? I have the stainless steel studio and love it. Oh, and I got my beloved Accent Briarwood FIXED! Yay!

    - Pilot Namiki Falcon [F]
    - Sailor Professor [MF]

Just ordered this white Pelikan M205 from Germany. I've been thinking about getting a Pelikan for ages, and I'm finally pulling the trigger on one. Up until now I've been getting mostly Japanese pens, but a Lamy and a Nemosine found their ways into my hands recently, and now I want to explore German nibs.

My Lamy 2000 is scheduled to arrive tomorrow and, I swear, I am considering calling-in sick just to stay home to wait for it :-D

I am waiting for a 192x Parker Lady Duofold in red hard rubber and a 190x De La Rue Onoto, both of which went off for refurbishment a couple months ago. These will be the last pens I acquire.

Nice. I have an M205 on my shortlist as well. Would you mind posting where you purchased from and, also, a brief review? I'd really be interested in hearing how you like it.

I bought it on eBay from missing-pen (aka Rolf Thiel) in Germany. He has a perfect 100% feedback rating. The pen was $119 and change plus $9.95 for shipping to the US. He has all sorts of German pens, new and vintage. I'll be glad to post how I like it once it arrives and I get a chance to try it out.

I’m currently waiting for a Lamy Dialog 3 from Cultpens Its a slightly longer wait than usual as its a special order for the OM nib

Looking forward to seeing the modern OM compares with the handful of old Artus pens with OMs and OBs
