Heheh, I can't speak for VO, but I don't think ill of a pen model because of a careless dealer. The perceived value of the pen is not affected by it, but rather this experience probably allowed our good friend VO an opportunity to handle both model and now she has a better idea what she likes or dislikes in these two models. (Just trying to find the silver lining. )
Currently only a few thingies from China actually in the mail but while browsing on the KaWeCo site to check out the status of the stonewashed AL-Sport, I discovered that they might burn yet another hole in my creditcard.
The Student in vintage blue, available from June (in Germany). Also a yellow version is announced around the same time.

No customizations this time around, just the regular tuning to suit how I write and how I like the ink to flow. The VP Raden is the longtime raden offering (not the newer models) that looks like a beautiful galaxy in the center of the barrel. I had gotten one once before, but not to use - I put it up for auction for charity. I remembered the beautiful look of it though, so I finally decided to get one for myself.
The Platinum 3776 Century Bourgogne is a trial, and indulgence. I don't care for Platinum's lesser offerings, I haven't had good luck with flow. However, with the 3776 Century offering no dry out technology and the raves of those who have it factored in, I decided it was worth the try out, in a color which spoke directly to my tastes.

Well, after writing with each for a couple of pages, I am. But in addition to the high quality of the work, I was amazed by the fast turn around time. I don't know if it's just a slow time of year for him, but it was 12 days from the time I first wrote to him to today, when I got the completed pens back.
I'll probably put up something more about the pens when I have time. Right now I'm just going to write with them.

Awaiting my very first Sheaffer, a PFM II. Can't wait! First Sheaffer, first snorkel.
My last pen purchase for a very long time: Danitrio Takumi in Shu-dame (red). I didn't have just a plain one without maki-e painting, and I've been staring at it a long time. No customizations, just good flow.
Ok, I just put away the credit card for the last time for "discretionary" purchasing. It is quite literally locked away in a drawer that takes forever to get open, and I don't have the card number memorized.
Now, all my remaining money is hereby devoted to health insurance, taxes, food, utility and vet extortions. I shall now be locked away in my little, overstuffed hole in the wall with my paints, books, pens and inks; and I will drive everyone around me mad with "sorry, I can't afford it," after my "poor me" overindulgences of the last 90 days.

I could put up a separate thread about this, but I think I'll just put up a picture and a little more information here.
The Waterman had one tine seriously bent out of alignment, and I chickened out of trying to deal with it myself. It was just too nice to risk permanent damage when I could let an expert deal with it. It writes beautifully now.
The Montblanc's nib had been re-ground as a left oblique (by a previous owner) and it wasn't working out. Greg reground it for me as a normally symmetrical .6 mm nib which writes very smoothly, and is adjusted for a good flow. I'm actually enjoying it so much that I've been using it more than the Waterman.

Pelikan Pelikano Junior, in turquoise! Found out a few days ago that Europe seems to have a few different colours of those than North America. I'm trying to collect as many as I can - they're actually really nice writers, especially for the price. Sure, they're made for little kids and look it (bright colours, and they're the furthest thing from sleekly built), but they're sturdy and the nibs are really nice.
