Argh. The color isn't even remotely similar to the photo, and I checked several different monitors prior to purchase. It is a screaming Day Glo orange, suitable for writing in the woods during deer season.

Goulet is taking it back and putting a comment in their website description. Bummer.
I saw them in person at the pen show, and all of them are like that. They are kind of like the equivalent of the Lamy neon series.

That just makes it even more desirable to me... and it is called 'Fluo', so one would guess it'd be bright.

Maybe this is a better picture?

Re:the Caran d'Arche. I did not ink it since I knew it was going back, so I can't comment on how it writes.

The Pen Co. link shows a pleasing pumpkin color on my monitor.

Calling it "FLUO" in no way prepared me to think "Day Glo". Even Goulet admitted they needed to mention the difference on their site and did not charge me for return shipping.

No worries, my new Delta Stantuffo more than made up for it, and I knew I could rely on it's orange!

I'm waiting on a BHR Waterman 12 1/2 and a vintage Stylochap Safety pen in red mottled ebonite. Both were relatively cheap impulse buys but they both seem like they'll be great pens.

Finally managed to track down one of the Montblanc leather pen pouches from the anniversary collection in the early 2000's. Waiting patiently for it to arrive in the mail, I think it will fit my Rouge et Noir's nicely

lamy 2000. I said I'd never get one, I have the mech pencil & ballpoint and figured that was enough. But an xf custom grind popped up, I couldn't say no.

New here and to fountain pens in general.

Had a Visconti Rembrandt show up this weekend. It's in the special ops dress.

And waiting on a Pilot Namiki of some sort to come in from Japan. It's taking a hell of a long time . . . I'm trying to be patient. I'll post a pic when it comes in so you guys can school the newbie.

I'm awfully tempted to get the blue one. I love the minimalist design language. But the grip looks slimmer even then the CP1 which worries me. Ugh want it but I really don't need more pens.

edit: and no broad nib why?...

Just ordered a Conid Slimline Demonstrator Bulkfiller which I have thinking about for over a year. Love the look of it especially with a clear section.

It is the most I have paid for a pen so it took some thought, and selling off a few other pens!

Happily I prefer clipless pens so taking the clip out saved €100 as it is made of titanium and made it an affordable buy.

Well, I guess I have two more safety pens coming. One is a Waterman 42 with 9kt gold bands on the barrel; the second is a Stylochap safety from '90s made of brown/black mottled ebonite with a sterling overlay. My Scriptorium Aeterna in Omas Burkina celluloid should be up on the queue sometime this month as well. It's going to be a good month for pens =]
