Default Recommendation for best book on FP repair and restoration?

Any recommendations for a good general book on fountain pen maintenance, repair, restoration?

The "RichardsPens Guide to Fountain Pens, Volume 2: Restoration" looks like it might be useful but so does his book "The Best of the Pen Doctor", and there are a dozen others from different authors. I'm not looking to open a repair shop, I just want tips and techniques for pulling and replacing nibs, pistons, sacs, and other stuff like that. Should silicon grease be used on both the piston and the piston screw?. How far should the piston be advanced before screwing the pen back together? ...

I've already answered this elsewhere, but my recommendation would always be "Pen Repair" by Marshall and Oldfield (4th Edition). I don't think you can do better in a single volume.

There's a reason why I have 3 editions of the Marshall/Oldfield book in my repair reference library.

Has anyone mentioned the Marshall/Oldfield must-have?

Interesting suggestions to choose from. So either Marshal & Oldfield, Marshall & Oldfield, or Marshall & Oldfield. Based on those suggestions I did a little exploring and discovered an odd little spiral-bound thing called Pen Repair by Marshall & Oldfield--those authors sounded familiar. Some guy named Dr Laurence Oldfield has his own website where he sells the books along with other bits and bobs. Thanks for all your suggestions.

Really, it is the best pen repair book out there. Frank Dubeil's book is dated IMO, though rumor has it that it's been updated. I still would buy the M&O book. I know both of them, have spent time talking with them at shows, and they try to make sure that their information is correct. They are not hacks who decided that they have repaired a few pens, and are therefore qualified to start making Youtube videos telling others how to repair pens. I know that they've agonized over videos that they made for the WES because they believe as they put it, "It [I]has[I] to be absolutely correct."

I know that Richard Binder's information is also going to be correct because that's the way Richard is. Therefore I trust it.

I'm going to order the M&O book directly from Oldfield and likely get the Kindle version of Binder's book, too. In for a penny, in for a pound. Thanks.
